WikiHow or WikiCrap?
Over the past several months, WikiHow has been part of my customized Google homepage. Always looking for something new and interesting.. and there have been a couple interesting WikiHow articles I’ve previously discussed. But today, I’ve decided they just are stretching for content. Google criticized for Private Data Listings
Google doesn’t pry into backend systems or have super secret access keys at getting data, but that doesn’t stop the media from placing the blame on them. Holding them responsible for evaluating the content of billions of webpages is nearly impossible. Finding lists of social security numbers on the web is far from hard to do either. Someone, at the school, put it online and are trying to “c” their “a”. Continue reading
