YouTuber Election: 2008 – By Any Means Necessary
When you least expect it, YouTubers are pitching in to the 2008 Presidential elections – in droves. During a top video review today, a video entitled ‘Ron Paul Needs to Wake Up – Stop Dreaming! Ron Paul Exposed!’ was listed. With all the current political scene awash in ‘exposures’ of the candidates, and with Ron Paul’s message being censored by some media groups, I decided to see how they debunked his statements.
Then I realized that the YouTubers behind the Ron Paul movement had created a title to lure those who think Ron Paul is full of crap. Reverse psychology in the title – creative marketing for today’s generation. We all love a scandal – and a scandal video is even better! Good work creative minds! Continue reading

Police Officer overdoses on Marijuana Brownies?
In a completely twisted and ridiculous news story from Q13 Fox News, a police officer made a call to 9-1-1 to request a rescue unit be sent for him and his wife who were ‘dying.’ According to the video report and 9-1-1 tape, the officer and his wife made pot brownies then seemingly ate their fill – and maybe then some.
The officer says, “time is going really, really, really, slow” and that they are “dying” and rescue is necessary. Good news is the cop didn’t die, wasn’t dying and in fact, no one has ever died from marijuana usage, let alone an overdose. There have been unconfirmed reports, however, that overdosing on marijuana can cause increased grocery bills, clothing bills (buying larger sizes) and an overall lack of ambition to do much more than eat, watch TV and perhaps overdose a little more. Nokia makes a lame-duck effort to be Green
Nokia, attempting to provide ‘Green’ in their business reputation, announced today that they would be releasing a new feature on upcoming models which ‘beeps’ and provides visual notification that the battery is charged and should be unplugged.
This was an effort developed in collaboration with other European companies and regulators to reduce emissions and power usage. Is this really the best that they could come up with? A software change that triggers a noise and message beckoning the user to unplug the device?
How about this, Nokia and EU green party: How about you enable the phone to turn off any power consumption after the battery is fully charged, allowing it to start recharging after a 10% or greater battery capacity loss. Is this so difficult for it to turn off it’s hunger for electricity, power and connection to the living, electric world? Continue reading

Resignation – for What?
Today I read the story about John Browne’s resignation from BP after truly taking the company into great new profitable waters. Why? Cause he had to admit he was gay. Well, and that he lied at a previous inquiry regarding the matter, but for a loss of a reported $30MM in retirement, etc., why?
His fall seemed all the more magnified after his rise to the top at BP, the company where he had worked since he was a university student. He had already been forced to announce an early retirement after the energy company suffered problems relating to its safety record, including an accident at its Texas refinery that killed 15 workers.
