Camouflaged Angels in USDA War Poster Overly Friendly?

ch6big12b Fast Company ran an article which detailed a collection of USDA WW II posters which were meant to influence the nation to produce more, conserve and ensure the US and their allies had sufficient supply to fight the war.  But upon a closer look at the ‘Camouflaged Angel’ who is wearing a lovely cotton seerksucker uniform – is removing the belt of the casually laid-back, cigarette smoking soldier.

Looking more like a romance graphic comic interlude, you have to see the whole poster to fully see the message regarding cotton.

But am I really the first person to see a little messin’ around going on?
