Unless there is a specific scent associated with being ripped off (would I go so far as to say that these are dogs seeking fecal aroma or methane pockets?) how can these dogs find pirated DVDs?

A federal judge has ruled that fantasy leagues can use player names and statistics, without getting licensing agreements from Major League Baseball. The judge ruled that the names and stats are not the intellectual property of baseball. One company that organizes such fantasy leagues was told by baseball’s Internet wing it could no longer use the player profiles and game stats.

While copyright issues online are such a new-area of the judicial review system, it’s becoming more clear that rights are being favored towards the creator of the content. Google, in it’s effort to index the world, has been overwhelmed with copyright infringement issues, trademark issues, et al. It’s not suprising.
