RipOffReport.com - a website many are familiar with as they have stumbled upon it when they are searching for a company online. Sometimes you never even get to that companies website - I mean, they seem to be ripping people off online!

But Wired reports that Ripoff Report founder Ed Magedson claims he is suffering from attacks by ‘Internet Terrorists’ who are pushing his highly ranked pages in search engines down a few notches. “SEOs, on the other hand, say Magedson is basically extorting money out of clients.”

As anyone who reads me often knows, I hate Google, or any search engine, full of crap. I made my entry into this industry being able to legitimately populate Google, Alta Vista and Yahoo with great content pages and sites. In my early years using a platform called ViaWeb which then evolved into Yahoo Store, now Yahoo Merchant Solutions - there weren’t any rules. People were just kind of making them up, that’s how I ended up explaining search engines and spiders in Catalog magazine in 1999. Only 7 years ago, but a lifetime ago online.

Seems that RIM is in a bit of a snafu. After paying through the nose to be able to keep doing that BlackBerry thing, they are poised to launch in China. Now, in 2001 they did their diligence, filed their trademarks in China, etc. Not that they have been USED in China, they have been, well, unused.

Exodus International is a group who puts up billboards and utilizes other marketing attempts to provide individuals with the strength, support and guidance to turn a gay straight. Okay, like a dog can become a cat. In the age old debate of whether or not it’s a choice, decision or something that is genetically programmed within us - our orientation that is. Well, I think that a company who’s life’s crusade is to straighten out the fabulous and grand is just retarded. How about supporting people - as a whole, no matter their life orientation.

A Christian group that promotes heterosexuality Thursday quietly dropped its beef against a blogger who poked fun at it. Exodus International initially claimed the altered image of one of its billboards by Justin Watt infringed its copyright. But Exodus is no longer pursuing the matter after Watt stopped using its “watermark” logo, Exodus President Alan Chambers said.
