DXM - many may have never heard that term before, but it’s legal, it’s in your cough syrup - and kids have been getting high off of it for years. Only problem is, now they are putting their trippy experience popularized by Robotussin and thereby it’s nickname of “Robo”, on YouTube.

Hundreds of videos can be found which capture the experience of taking the cough syrup and other cold remedies then enjoying the ‘tripping’ experience it brings when overused. Before kids only told each other stories - if they told anyone. These days, the Internet makes things more enjoyable when you know you can share them with someone else - and you can share pretty much everything these days. Similar videos on YouTube of people using Salvia have sparked the issue nationwide and is now under consideration to be added to the list of scheduled drugs alongside cocaine and marijuana.

Delhi’s deputy mayor died on Sunday. SS Bajwa was attacked in India’s capital by a horde of wild monkeys according to a BBC report.

He suffered serious head injuries after falling from his home’s first-floor terrace Saturday morning trying to fight off the monkeys.

Delhi has long struggled to combat the monkey plague, which seem to invade government complexes and temples, as well as steal food and scare city dwellers.

This video shows how they simply run free throughout the city after being forced to enter the urban zone to find food - the video shows how they are developing their own territories within the city and defending it from intruders.

What can be more simple to understand? If we continue to poorly treat the environment around us - the one which sustains and satiates our every need - it will no longer be able to do anything for us. Won’t be able to protect us from the harmful rays of the sun. Won’t be able to keep the polar caps frozen.

Love popcorn? Who doesn’t - and generally the more butter the better. According to a New York Times report, this butter isn’t butter at all - it’s most commonly Diacetyl (Couldn’t they have come up with a more appealing name for fake butter?). This substance, when researched at the OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) website, makes it clear that various studies have linked this chemical agent to a number of just plain bad results.

A disease referred to as “Popcorn Worker Lung,” or officially ‘bronchiolitis obliterans,’ has had no regulatory action taken even after years of studies. According to OSHA, there are studies which have resulted in the death of 1 out of 4 rats after six hours of exposure to the artificial tasty stuff.

More importantly, it’s not just on the popcorn. It’s actually only created from the heating process involved and is carried in the steam that many of us look forward to smelling when opening the bag after taking it out of the microwave. The man in the New York Times article referred to himself as ‘Mr. Popcorn,’ often consuming two bags of microwave popcorn daily.

According to Albert Einstein, once the bees are gone, “man would have only four years of life left.” Bees are critical worldwide for the pollenation of various plants - and now the story being put forward is that “radiation given off by mobile phones and other hi-tech gadgets is a possible answer to one of the more bizarre mysteries ever to happen in the natural world - the abrupt disappearance of the bees that pollinate crops. Late last week, some bee-keepers claimed that the phenomenon - which started in the US, then spread to continental Europe - was beginning to hit Britain as well.”

The problem is now affecting half of all American states and sixty percent of it’s commercial bee population has been lost on the West Coast with seventy percent missing on the East Coast.

In one of the most well-known drugs with a side effect that recalls some potato chips and other products with ‘alternative fat’ in them, anal-leakage and Xenical (or ‘orlistat’) go hand-in-hand. Today, the annoucment rang out that finally an over-the-counter drug had been approved by the FDA for weight loss.

Now, since the FDA requires clinical studies in order for any product to make claims to assist in the cure or treatment of any condition, this is kinda earth shattering, however, then they said it was a reduced dosage of Xenical - OTC Orlistat. Better yet, they said they named it Alli, in order to show the spirit of joint effort in weight loss. ? Huh ? Alli doesn’t say anything to me other than lets go ride on a flying carpet!

o we have too many aircraft flying? The potential of increased air flight is causing global warming. Yes, airplanes. Others say that the widespread contrails, in the non-overlapping patterns are not contrails at all, but chemtrails - chemically laden materials distributed in the sky.

NASA scientists have found that cirrus clouds, formed by contrails from aircraft engine exhaust, are capable of increasing average surface temperatures enough to account for a warming trend in the United States that occurred between 1975 and 1994.

According to Patrick Minnis, a senior research scientist at NASA’s Langley Research Center in Hampton, Va., there has been a one percent per decade increase in cirrus cloud cover over the United States, likely due to air traffic. Cirrus clouds exert a warming influence on the surface by allowing most of the Sun’s rays to pass through but then trapping some of the resulting heat emitted by the surface and lower atmosphere.

Using a general circulation model, Minnis estimates that cirrus clouds from contrails increased the temperatures of the lower atmosphere by anywhere from 0.36 to 0.54°F per decade. Minnis’s results show good agreement with weather service data, which reveal that the temperature of the surface and lower atmosphere rose by almost 0.5°F per decade between 1975 and 1994.

Federal health officials worked Friday to find the source of a multistate E. coli outbreak and warned consumers that even washing the suspect spinach won’t kill the sometimes deadly bacteria.

One person died and dozens of others were sickened in the 10-state outbreak, linked by Food and Drug Administration officials to bagged spinach.

While we have all experienced the trauma associated with any visit to the emergency room in the last 10 years - it’s a long and drawn out process. As an asthmatic, I found the only way past triage is via an ambulance. So, I wait until I can barely breathe, then call and get straight to a bed. I know the pattern, 40 years gives you time to do so.

But why has a visit with costs $700 or more for less than half an hour - turned into homicide? A women with classic heart-attack symptoms was categorized as “semi-urgent,” as she had no prior history. 2 hours later when found in the waiting room, she had passed already.

It’s amazing how far we’ve come technologically. My baby book contains the cover of the local paper proclaiming “WE LANDED ON THE MOON!” Today, intergalactic space imagery is something we have become accustomed to seeing.
