My dad sent me some cool pics today, thought I’d share them with you. They are two images of flowers close up and bubbles in the water…. Very cool shots Dad!

Venting Part Duex: What is wrong with people?
Ever have a project a work that piqued your interest? Made you want to work a little bit harder to help someone else that you could lend a helping hand too?
Ya, I’ve been there - in fact, I was there today - trying to make a innocent little campaign for another department something special - then you realize you are being used. The project manager leaves at 4PM while you look aghast - not understanding why he doesn’t want to see the project through. Then, his boss passes by and gives you even more reason not to help - after they threaten serious disciplinary action on one of their team members just for working on what the project manager’s boss terms ‘your project.’
First, not my project - it’s for another department - and I’m only trying to assist you in maximizing your ROI. But that - I guess - isn’t appreciated.
Just a Really Really Bad Day
Ever have one of those days where nothing seemed to go right? Where you start the day off bright-eyed and busy-tailed and even excited about the day ahead - including a conversation with the Boss - and end up stepping in a pile of shit before the day is half over. That was my day today and it only seemed to get “better”.
Google, oh Google - do you know too much?
Okay, I admit Google is my preference for, well, pretty much everything I want to find. Haven’t used a different search engine in months, perhaps longer. But tonight, for some reason, I realized how much Google really does know about me. It’s kinda scary when you add the publicly available information along [...]
Search for 15 minutes or have some Patience
Patience - something we believe we all possess to some level, and as I have gotten older, I believe I am very patient in comfortable situations and extremely impatient in not-so-comfortable ones. Guess that pretty much goes for everyone as well, but sometimes you realize that you need to be just a little bit more patient - and tonight, I learned it from the Internet.
Yep, the Internet - that treasure trove of content and information, gossip and news - the things life is made of. I turn to the net for most everything - and sometimes it astonishes me how sometimes it takes the web for you to see what is right under your eyes.
Tech Junkie Crisis: Sleeping with the Enemy
Seen any stories on the web lately about the iPhone? Yeah, it is completely consuming the entire spectrum of media, websites and blogs from top to bottom. This, however, is a story you won’t find anywhere. Why? It’s more of a Spanish-TV style ‘novella’ in the making about the iPhone.
Okay, so by [...]
GE Appliances: Rough Start with a Happy Ending
This weekend I was tasked with getting a new microwave for my kitchen above the stove. One of those all-in-one exhaust / microwave units. I have new GE appliances in the kitchen, so after looking at the Home Depot in my office’s parking lot, I found that a pretty good unit was between [...]
New Digs.. New Views…
Today I got the keys to my new condo. I’m quite excited as this new unit is incredibly a great layout to start with and make it my own.
Hitting that middle-of-life bump - ouch!
Turning 40 in the last several months has seeminly started to take its toll. Allowing myself to run out of contacts (again) and have only 1 in for the last month or so, I figured it was time for me not to refill my lenses, but get a new exam. Going to my [...]
Mid-Terms Over - Let the Impeachment Begin!
With the election over and all but finalized, the House is now in Democratic control! Will the Impeachment proceedings start soon?
Key quotes on the results of Tuesdays US mid-term elections which saw the Democrats win control of the House of Representatives but an uncertain outcome in the Senate:
NANCY PELOSI, DEMOCRATIC LEADER IN THE HOUSE
“Nowhere did the American people make it more clear that we need a new direction than in the war in Iraq… We cannot continue down this catastrophic path.
“Today the American people voted for change and they voted for Democrats to take our country in a new direction and that is exactly what we intend to do…
“The Democrats intend to lead the most honest and ethical Congress in history.”
