So You Wanna be a SOB? Gotta do the Dance!

The blogosphere continues to grow and expand at an ever increasing rate, as does the number of new ‘writers,’ ‘journalists,’ and new breed of individuals who like to sit at home, in their pajamas, sipping coffee and scanning thousands of rss feeds daily and posting away.

You know, kinda like me! Well, times are continuing to develop more symbols of recognition, network affiliation and other points of reference to assist site vistors with signs of credibility. With so much to read these days, it helps when a simple symbol can lend at least some guidance, like movie and game ratings.

Well, now I wanna be a ‘SOB.’ Ahem, yes, I wanna be a ‘SOB.’ Stumbling along the site of ‘Successful Blog’ with the lovely host Liz Strauss, vis-a-vis some other site I can’t even recall at this time, I became instantly interested in what the site has to offer.

Successful-Blogging.com host Liz Strauss // and official SOB Continue reading

Patents are continuing to cause people to scratch their heads and say, “that’s patentable?” MetroPCS, a regional cellular Verizon MVNO. With their unlimited pricing, and all-you-can-eat rate plan within their regional markets, they somehow secured a patent on such – now competing regional carriers Cricket and Leap want to offer the same service, and say they are suffering damage and irreparable injury. Are they serious? Continue reading

Long known for it’s continuing series of prison surviving, detection avoidance and child torture, it seems WikiHow has collaborated with Northwest on a recent manual handed out to soon-to-be-terminated employees, offering great words of inspiration, like this tip about how to save money and how exactly to start “Preparing for a Financial Setback.”

Your ‘Digital Dirt’ can Hurt You

While most of us use the internet for valid purposes and aren’t off trying to lure children, or purchase slaves, or trade in illegal imagery. But there are so many sites that we have signed up to over the years, it’s nearly impossible for anyone to remember them. Just recently, a business associate found a bizzare profile that was a hodge-podge of information they had seemingly cobbled together from different period of time – and I have no idea what the login or anything is. Technology Advice: Memo vs. Email

Email is the primary vehicle for business communication today. While formal presentations, demands for payment, final contracts and legal documents may still exist in their physical form, those days are coming to and end as well. An increasing percentage of Court systems are fully electronic. Filing is done electronically by the attorney offices themselves, no need to present at a Clerk of Court’s office. Continue reading

    Copyright Issues Plague Google

While copyright issues online are such a new-area of the judicial review system, it’s becoming more clear that rights are being favored towards the creator of the content. Google, in it’s effort to index the world, has been overwhelmed with copyright infringement issues, trademark issues, et al. It’s not suprising. Continue reading
