So You Wanna be a SOB? Gotta do the Dance!
The blogosphere continues to grow and expand at an ever increasing rate, as does the number of new ‘writers,’ ‘journalists,’ and new breed of individuals who like to sit at home, in their pajamas, sipping coffee and scanning thousands of rss feeds daily and posting away.
You know, kinda like me! Well, times are continuing to develop more symbols of recognition, network affiliation and other points of reference to assist site vistors with signs of credibility. With so much to read these days, it helps when a simple symbol can lend at least some guidance, like movie and game ratings.
Well, now I wanna be a ‘SOB.’ Ahem, yes, I wanna be a ‘SOB.’ Stumbling along the site of ‘Successful Blog’ with the lovely host Liz Strauss, vis-a-vis some other site I can’t even recall at this time, I became instantly interested in what the site has to offer.

Broadband paved the way for.. What — MySpace?
Everyone’s crazy about MySpace. If they don’t have enough ‘friends’ on MySpace, they are blogging about it and how bad/good it is. All of us within the traditional Computer channel are in the late-30s to early 50s guys — and we aren’t playing on MySpace, we have work to do (on LinkedIn perhaps). All I know is that MySpace, well it was ONE lucky site. Continue reading
Opera 9 Gives You Choice and Control.. Test Run..
While personally an avid FireFox Fan, today I’m going to give Opera a shot. I mean, it sure does look pretty! These days, even Firefox tends to lock up – actually almost as much as AOL or the Beta of IE 7, so, it’s all 6 of one, half dozen another. Continue reading

Google Toys Knocking Google?
Although businesses obviously are in the habit of conducting business to make money – that doesn’t make them bad, does it? Google has hundreds of PHD bearing employees who are uber-smart – and simply sit and figure out what else they can do with this ever increasingly large database of data. Continue reading

Shit from Shinola – Get Google Good!
As anyone who reads me often knows, I hate Google, or any search engine, full of crap. I made my entry into this industry being able to legitimately populate Google, Alta Vista and Yahoo with great content pages and sites. In my early years using a platform called ViaWeb which then evolved into Yahoo Store, now Yahoo Merchant Solutions – there weren’t any rules. People were just kind of making them up, that’s how I ended up explaining search engines and spiders in Catalog magazine in 1999. Only 7 years ago, but a lifetime ago online. Continue reading

Freggie Theme for WordPress Released
Clean and fresh, albeit a bit too narrow for my liking, this not-overly-contrasting theme called Freggie (a green theme, as in green like a frog) has great elements including ‘ul’ spiral icons and an inverted-block paging style that will definitely be in use on my pages soon. Great work from the author, Rikkye Nuwen of Nuwen.com. Continue reading
