Update on Gmail Functionality – Plug In!

Well, you asked for it – you got it, now with 2GB of file storage.

So, why not download this file and make a drag and drop interface w/Gmail today!

Get your 2GBs worth! Adding a drag-and-drop inteface for exchangability of data is great!

But, after all, what is the allure of Gmail?

Gmail, when it debuted, was a super secret members-0nly online email service. Okay, well, there have been many before – just like Yahoo! Mail or perhaps you may have heard of MSN HotMail. They have been around along time, and gosh, there even used to be a company, called NameZero, that would register YOUR NAME as a domain for FREE and provide you with email, web space, everything. I’m not exactly sure where that business model came from, but dotster sucked them up some time ago. I had the glorious pleasure, during the early 90s, to find that a disgruntled employee had registered all of my domains (lonnypaul.com, .net, .org, etc.) via NameZero and had to scream at the top of my lungs to get them back, which I did, or we wouldn’t be here today!

Also, waaaay back, like late 80s, I signed up for what I recall to the first online FREE email – mail.com! But it wasn’t called that in the beginning, i don’t remember what it was called – anyone?

Well, none the less, just like the iPod, it was FAR from the first MP3 player – and still not an MP3 player at that, nor is gMail anything new.

Now, the upgrade to 2GB, sounds like a GREAT idea, instead – why don’t they sell you extra space? A friend of mine, who previously used Gmail non-stop, stopped using it all together as he was tired of deleting his email daily to get more mail. He couldn’t buy more space. Now Google, you cash cow little company – why not make a little extra cash! Hard drives DO cost money you know!

Well, enough about the ever-so-loved google. Gotta love ‘em – there’s nothing better. And, speaking of google, download Picassa, their new Media browser for your pC. It’s HOT!
