What is a 10 year old girl facing imminent death to do when she’s told ‘No, you cannot see your father.’ Once a vibrant and energetic child, her body is now ravished with hemmoraging cancerous tumors – lying ‘comfortable’ awaiting death to take her away. But she only wants to get a hug from her father.
Incarcerated in a minimum security federal prison camp in Yankton, South Dakota on a one year sentence, the father is scheduled to be transferred to a half-way house in August. After requesting a 30 day supervised visit to provide him closure with his daughter – and provide her dying wish, they were flatly denied. An appeal is being made in the case, and it is yet unsure how this will turn out. (Video after break)
The mother makes her daughter’s situation pretty clear. “Shes very scared. And I think shes holding on for her father.”
Help this Family!
You can help this family by urging the officials involved to take action and do the right thing. A Federal drug conviction does not remove humanity from a person, nor should the dying wish of a child that is well within reason considering his current low-security status – be denied.

While this poor girl cannot see her father, ready for release in a few months, the same system can accidentally release a woman from prison after committing heinous crimes.
