Yes, the Tofurky holiday roast. Now admittedly, this item may not look too good, but once the fixins’ are added to the plate, it looks a lot more tasty.
People are buying the Tofurkey, too. The company that makes it � California’s Turtle Island Foods � is holding a contest this year where people are invited to guess how many tofurkeys are sold by the end of this year. The Web site says they have sold over 882,000 as of the beginning of this year and have been selling them since 1995.
What do you win if you guess right? An electric scooter.
By the way, the Web site for the Tofurkey also includes a recipe for giblet gravy. Considering how gross that bag of guts stuffed inside real turkeys usually looks, we think the Tofurkey substitute version can only be an improvement.
