A French woman went as far as to petition the Courts to provide her with a lethal dose of drugs to end her suffering - and was denied. Once a vibrant woman, cancer infected her sinuses and nasal cavities - completely disfiguring the woman and even forcing one of her eyes out of the socket.
The womans condition only worsened once the cancer ate through much of her facial bone structure and had no sense of smell or taste - and was blind. After the Courts ruled to deny her plea, she was found dead in her apartment the next day.
In the early 20th century, the Supreme Court ruled several times that the legality of consuming psychedelics and other substances was the choice of the individual, not that of the State. While that was somehow forgotten and the DEA was formed by President Nixon in order to allow the criminalization of drugs based on their classification.
Many states are currently undertaking the task of making Salvia illegal - and Federal review is already underway. While Salvia, much like marijuana, is a naturally occuring mint plant in Mexico, it’s recent increased usage exposed through YouTube videos has been causing parental concern. While most individuals who experiment with Salvia are limited by the potent drug’s 3-10 minute length of effectiveness. Salvia is been used by Shamens and other Indian cultures for centuries as a tool to connect with the spirit world. While some may think that ol red-skin was simply tripping on some plant - personally interviewed individuals by myself have explained something that is nearly beyond comprehension. Then after hearing those stories from several different people who had the exact same experience - it’s quite an amazing substance. While there are no other physical side effects or other detrimental health effects aside from those incurred by inhaling smoke from any substance, Salvia may be destined to be on the scheduled drugs list right alongside marijuana.
