MADtv TV – The Old Saturday Night Live/Fridays

Cast of MadTVGrowing up, Saturday Night Live was THE show to be allowed to watch. It was risque, it was the days of Chevy Chase and Jim Belushi, Roseann Roseanna Anna Danna and the crew. The best years of Saturday Night live – with the “Two Wild and Crazy Guys,” the show was definite hit. Then ABC tried to fight back for a few years with the series “Fridays” which was pretty cool, in fact it was downright freaking hilarious. But, today, MAD TV is king.

MoCollins is a critical element to that show. Her characters are incredibly diverse, funny as hell and keep your attention. Stuart!

A similar show to Saturday Night Live and In Living Color, sketch comedy series Mad TV mines the world of popular culture for subjects ripe for parody. Based on the comic stylings of Mad magazine, the series satirizes celebrities, music videos, television shows, and more through outrageous sketches, a unique assembly of recurring characters, and the uninhibited zaniness of cast members.

MADtv is now currently in its 11th season on FOX and SNL is getting progressively worse, if you ask me. MADTV has finally matured and came of age.
